CUSTOM SCREEN PRINTING

 INKS + COLOR MATCHING

We offer and feature a variety of printing techniques at New Flag Design & Screen printing.

Below you can find more information about our house stock colors, printing techniques and

In-house PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM color options:

WE CAN MATCH ANY PANTONE COLOR

Each pantone specified color is hand mixed in house using precise measurements to ensure consistent results for every color matching request.

Rest easy knowing that all colors will be to your specification.

PLASTISOL INKS

Plastisol is an oil-based ink. It tends to have a "feel" since it's printed on top of the shirt fibers.

Holds textures (hi-resolution images) better than waterbase.

A properly cured shirt printed with plastisol ink will last a long time.

Works well for four-color process or simulation process designs.

DISCHARGE INKS

Discharge ink has no "feel" when printed on to a 100% cotton t-shirt.

Discharge ink is a heat activated compound printed into the t-shirt fibers. essentially "bleaches" the shirt the color of the chosen ink.

Unique technique that is great for vintage style art.

Discharge works best on 100% cotton tees.  It will not work very well on 50/50 blends or tri-blend styles of garments.

WATERBASED INKS

Unlike plastisol, waterbase ink uses water as its base compound.

Works best on light colored garments with Virtually no "feel" to the ink as waterbase ink prints into the fibers of a shirt.

Can hold textures just as well as plastisol.

FOILS, VINYL TRANSFERS & METALLICS

Metallics are essentially plastisol inks with metallic powders added to give it a "reflective" sheen.  Foils are an application added after a plastisol base is printed on your shirt. This technique costs a little extra but your prints are sure to stand out!
